Temperatures; cold; seas rough in Foveaux Strait* elsewhere moderate, but rising. ANOTHER WET WEEK-END. Conditions in' the past three days have been characterised by a dull sky and intermittent heavy showers. Fortunately, several important sports fixtures were not interfered with on Sat- s urday afternoon, the rain holding off until the evening, when it continued spasmodically throughout the night and a part of Sunday morning. Yesterday afternoon the weather cleared, bub drenching rain again began last evening and was still falling this afternoon. Temperatures over the week-end were mild, the respective maximum and minimum readings for and vesterday being 65deg and 47deg; 62.7 deg and 50.5 deg. The total rainfall from Saturday to 9 a.m. to-day was .47in. The maximum temperature up to noon to-day, when the barometec was falling at 29.4, was 57.1 deg, the minimum reading being S4.Bdeg.
