ference, stressing the need of obtaining new members. The conference passed remits requesting the New Zealand Government to increase the contribution towards the Jloyal Navy, urging that provision bo made for more recreational facilities at tho Devonport naval base, suggesting that air force pilots bo given instruction in handling seaplanes, proposing that provision bo made for better facilities for boys, to enter the mercantile marine, expressing appreciation of the fact that efforts were being made to cope with subsidised foreign shipping, and urging that whenever Government officials of Kmpiro countries travel abroad they should be compelled to travel in British ships. Mr C. H. Palmer, of Auckland, was elected Dominion president, and Air R. Darroch was re-elected secretary.
