(Received February 24, at 11 a.m.) A letter from the Vicar-General, upon the order of the Archbishop, was read in all Catholic cJufrches. It indicates that no active protest is being made by the Church against the recent arrests of officials of the Catholic youth organisations. It says it is hoped that the publicwill learn the full circumstances from the court proceedings and adds that, whatever the verdict, the fact remains that the organisations have been for three years in the forefront against Communism and Marxism, and have done everything to educate German youth to be good citizens. Another letter from the Archbishop, read in some churches, asked Catholic parents firmly to resist new State schools in wlaich religion no longer occupies a primary position.
