Amery and Earl Winterton, have tabled a motion in the House of Commons opposing the transfer of British colonies and mandated territories “ for the welfare, protection, and enlightened government of which Britain holds an honourable trust.” STATEMENT BY MR THOMAS. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, February 12. (Received February 13, at noon.) In answer to Sir Henry Pagecroft at question time in the House of Commons, Mr J. H. Thomas stated that His Majesty’s Government had not considered, and was not considering, handing, over any of the British colonies or territories held under mandate.
