The Auckland Harbour Board advises that the concrete beacon with black cage summit on the outer end of the reef north of Motuihi Island has been destroyed. A new beacon will be erected as soon as possible. HERTFORD AT AUCKLAND. From Liverpool, the Federal steamer Hertford l reached Auckland on Saturmorning. _ She is to leave there again next Friday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and New Plymouth to complete discharge, and is due here about February 23.
