OTAGO CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING The Otago track and field championship meeting was'held at the Caledonian Ground this afternoon in dull weather, and after the heavy rains the tracks were well soaked; and on the slow side. Most of the Otago clubs were well represented, especially large contingents coming from Oamaru and_ Invercargill. Results (times are given in tenths): — Shot Putt Championship.—A. A. Cameron (North Otago), 38ft lOin, 1; R. Dalgleish (North Otago), 35ft 3in, 2; J. Tither (Civil Service), 32ft 9in, 3440 Yards Hurdles Championship.— H. W. Milner (North Otago) 1. J. G-erken (Civil Service) 2, W. B. Pettet (Anglican) 3. Won by 4yds; 15yds between second and third. Time, sS.3seo.
junior Broad Jump Championship.— R. jenkins (St.' Paul’s), 18ft Sim, 1; L. Laing (0.8.H.5.), 18ft-2Jin, 2. 120 Yards Hurdles Championship.— First heat: R. G. Mahony (Anglican) 1, R. Barnett (Civil Service) 2. Won by 2yds. Time, 17.4 sec. Second heat: H. 'W. Milner (North Otago) 1* W. D. Borrie (University) 2, M. M. Murray (Anglican) 3. Won by 12yds each way.
