DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE There was no business effected at this morning’s call, but markets generally were firm. In the banking section Australasia shares showed an improvement, and there was a slight inquiry for Commercial Banks, and Union Bank shares Wore firm. Westport Coals were firm, a buyer offering 22s 6d without attracting a seller. There was a hardened market for Australian Industrials, few sellers quoting. New Zealand Paper Mills had business, a sale being reported at 30s. A buyer at £1 9s 6d failed to attract a seller. The Australian gold mining shares improved, but prices were too wide to permit any business being transacted. In the local section buyers for Goldfields Dredging increased the limits without gaining any sellers. ( Vtn 'y H Ltlo action was manifested in Government loans.
