EX-MINISTER'S CURT ADMISSION POWER TO INTERFERE AUTHORISED [Pee United Peess Association.! 'INVERCARGILL, January 9. Mr Adam Hamilton, PostmasterGeneral in the last Government, was interviewed concerning the statement of the Hon. F. Jones, the present Minister:—“ I find as the result of inquiries into the jamming of IZB, that it has been established that instructions were issued by the responsible authorities under the direction of the late Postmaster-General to take the steps which were adopted to put the station off the air on that occasion.” " Mr Hamilton said: “As the result of past experience with this station instructions were given that if he overstepped the mark too far and broke the regulations too flagrantly, he was to be stopped. Evidently it was considered that he was doing this.’-
