Waimarino is due Ifrom Bluff to-mor-row. and is to sail later in the day for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. ' Gale is to load at Dunedin on Monday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington. Picton, and Wanganui. _ Kara is duel from Wellington on ■Monday inorning, and is to sail in the afternoon for Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth va ports. TRANSPACIFIC MAIL SERVICES. —Northbound.— Aoraugi left Sydney on January 2 and Auckland on January 7 for Vancouver via Suva and Honolulu. She is due at Vancouver on January 24. Mariposa left Sydney on January 8 and will leave Auckland on January 11 for Los Angeles and San Francisco via Suva, Pago Pago, and Honolulu. She is due at Los Angeles on January 25 and at San Francisco on January 27. Makura is to leave Sydney on January 16 and Wellington on January 21 for San Francisco via Rarotonga and Papeete. She is due at San Francisco on February 7. Niagara is to leave Sydney on January 30 and Auckland on February 4 for Vancouver via Suva and Honolulu. She is due at Vancouver on February 21. Monterey is to leave Sydney on February 5 and Auckland on February 8 for Los Angeles and San Francisco via Suva, Pago Pago, and Honolulu. She is due at Los Angeles on February 22 and San Francisco on February 24, Maunganui is to leave Sydney on February 13 and Wellington on February 18 for San Francisco via Rarotonga and Papeete. She is due at Wellington on March 2, and INTERISLAND EXPRESS. The interisland express steamer Waliine reached Lyttelton from Wellington at 6.40 a.m. to-day. Passengers and mail for the south connected with the express. TRANSPACIFIC CARGO SERVICE, The Union Company advises the following loadings at Pacific Coast ports for Dunedin:— Hauraki to leave Vancouver on January 31, San Francisco on February 13, and Los Angeles on February 15 for Papeete, Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne, Sydney. She is due at Auckland on March 7 and Dunedin on March 17. Wairuna to leave Vancouver on February 10, San Francisco on February 25, ’ and Los Angeles on February 27 for Apia, Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton. Dunedin, Melbourne, Sydney. She is due at Auckland on March 26 and Dunedin on April 6. Limerick to leave Vancouver on March 10, San Francisco on March 24, and Los Anglees on March 26 for Apia, Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne, Sydney. She is due irt Auckland on April 24 and Dunedin on May 3. Cape Horn to Igave Vancouver on April 10, San Francisco on April 24, and Los Angeles on April 26 for Apia, Auckland. Wellington. Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne, Sydney. She is due at Auckland on May 16 and Dunedin on May 25. lONIC NEARING AUCKLAND. The lonic, en route from Southampton, has reported by wireless that she expects to arrive at Auckland at 9 p.m. to-morrow. She will afterwards complete discharge at Port Chalmers. WIEGAND FROM MEXICAN GULF.' The North German Lloyd steamer Wiegand is expected at Auckland from ports .of the Gulf of Mexico oh Sunday. In addition to general cargo, she is carrying sulphur and bitumen. She will later proceed to Wellington and Dunedin, and then load at Australian ports for the United States. CHARTER OF AWAHOU. The Richardson coastal motor vessel Awahou will be running under charter to i Messrs Holm and Co. for the next three months, replacing the Parera, which is now on the Napier-Gis-borne-Wellington run, formerly served by the Pakura. TAIROA FROM LIVERPOOL. , Shaw, Savill liner Tairoa arrived at Wellington yesterday from Auckland to continue discharge of her Liverpool cargo. She is scheduled to leave Wellington to-morrow to complete at Lyttelton and Dunedin. NEW YORK SAILINGS. The Ashburton is to sail from New York on February 23 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The City of Canberra is to leave New York on March 17 for the same ports. HERTFORD LEAVES LIVERPOOL. \The Hertford cleared Liverpool on December 30 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and New Plymouth. She is due at Auckland on February 7. PERSONAL.^ Mr Owen Jones has been appointed third engineer of the Narbada. Mr W. Kimbell has been engaged as assistant purser on the Monowai, relieving Mr G. H. Duncan, who lias transferred to the Makura in a similar canacitv Mr W. E. Jones has rejoined the Narbada as chief officer in place of Mr J, Dawson, who has transferred to the Makura in a similar capacity, relieving Mr M. Bonetti for holidays. _ Mr - R. N. Turner has joined the Aorangi as chief officer in place of Mr D. M. Keith. , \Mr E. A. Cox has been appointed chief officer of the Limerick, vice Mr C Burgess, who is awaiting orders. Mr J. L. Watson has been appointed fourth officer on the Makura, vice Mr R. D. Scotchmen, who has been transferred to the Kami as third officer, relieving Mr J. A. Kirk. CANADTANCHALLENGER TO SAIL.
