A statement issued by the National Farmers’ Union draws attention to the increase in land under cultivation for vegetables. During the past decade extensions have been shown for all crops except onions, and for brussels sprouts, cauliflow’ers, and green peas the increases are from 20,900 to 34,100 acres, 11,700 to 19,500, and 42,700 to 63,600 respectively.
