RIFLE SHOOTING
WEST TAIERI CLUB ■ On Saturday the above club fired the fir»; sia°-e of No. 3 competition, the conditions being 10 shots at 500yds and 600yds. The changing light and a tricky wind proved very troublesome. Rifleman W. Brookes and Rifleman G. Wyllio tied at 500yds, with 48 each, for highest .place. At 600yds Riflemen W. Irving, .1. Dickie, and W. Brookes each scored 46. Scores:—
