VISITING BOWLERS

NEW SOUTH WALES TEAM ARRIVES [Peb United' Press Association.] AUCKLAND, January 6. To compete in the pairs and rinks competitions at the New _ Zealand bowling championships at Christchurch and later play matches in the various centres a team of New South Wales bowlers arrived by the Aorangi this morning. The party consists of 21 players, Mr T. W. Heath, president of the New South Wales Bowling Association being in charge, with Mr, A. E. Packer, ex-Mayor of Katoomba, team manager. After the championships the team will play at Wellington, .January 16 to 19; Palmerston .North, January 20; Wanganui, January 21; New Plymouth, January 22; Rotorua, January 23 to 27; Auckland, January 28 to 31, sailing on the latter day for home. “ We have not brought a very strong team, but have some good players, and hope to give a good account of ourselves,” said Mr Heath. He added that the game-in New South Wales was improving and increasing in popularity.
