The Ross and Cromarty Conservative Committee turned down Mr Malcolit MacDonald’s candidature, and decline! to invite him to address a meeting. Professor Chartens declined to stand as an Independent Conservative for the Scottish Universities’ parliamentary seat fn opposition to Mr Ramsay MacDonald.
