EYES OH EGYPTIAN SITUATION

RUGBY, January 2. (Received January 3, at 12.30 p.m.) Captain Eden, who has been spend* ing a few days in the north of has returned to the Foreign Office. On taking up the dhties of his new office, with undivided responsibility for the work of his department, many questions claim the specific attention of the Minister, apart from several major issues with which he has beon_ associated for some time past as Minister* for League Affairs. Among the most important of these, which he already had under consideration, and which will now be subject to closer study, is the request of the Egyptian party leader* forming the United Front for a te. sumption of the discussions, with a view to placing Anglo-Egyptian relations on a more definite basis. According to the present arrangements, the Foreign Secretary will attend the next meeting of the Council of the League on January 20. The agenda includes the, dispute between Italy and Ethiopia and questions concerning the Free City of Among the usual crowd of technical questions is the report, of non-Govern-mental experts pn the treatment of refugees- '
