A prisoner at Mount Eden Gao!,; Robert Dixon, aged 49, married, suffered severe injuries to his head, including a possible fracture of the skull* when he fell heavily on a concrete floors The injured man, a labourer, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital, and his condition is serious. It is stated that Dixon and another prisoner were engaged in cleaning work inside the prison when a difference arose between them and a scuffle ensued. Dixon struck his head heavily in falling. It was apparent that he had been severely injured, and he was removed to the sick bay for attention.
