Hermann Henry Thiele, a clerk, aged 25, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court to-day to a charge of failing to account for £195 12s lid, the property of the Lands and Survey Department'A statement by Thiele -was in the evidence. He had, he said, taken £lB in December, 1934, intending to repay it. He had not been able to do so, and had been later forced to take larger sums to pay back misappropriations. Thiele \vas .-committed for sentence.
