TRADE EXTENSIONS
SHIPPING SERVICE FROM JAPAN HEW SCHEDULE PLAHHED [Pee United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, December 6. Advice lias been received by Aiessrs Russell and Somers Ltd. that the Yainshita Kison Kaisha Company is inaugurating a monthly cargo service from Japan to New Zealand. The first vessel to commence the new service will be the Alanju Mara, which is scheduled to sail from Aliike, Japan, on December 26 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland about January 17. She will be followed by the steamer Chipuku Maru, sailing from Japan in January, and due in Auckland about tho middle of February, and the Keipuku Maru, leaving Japan in February and due at Auckland about the middle of March. For the past five years the Osaka Shosen Kaisha Line has run a monthly sendee from Japan to New Zealand via Australia with three large motor ships —the Melbourne Alaru, the Sydney Alaru, and the Brisbane Maru. In the past these vessels called only at Wellington and Auckland, but in future they will also call at Dunedin and Lyttelton., The first vessel to commence the company’s extended service will he the Sydney Alaru. which was to leave AToji, Japan, on December'2 for Australia. Dunedin, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland.
