BRITAIN'S OLDEST PONY

A little Shetland pony, eating out her. days in a paddock at Harby, Nottinghamshire, is believed to be the oldest horse in England. Dot, pet of the Gibbs family, is known to be at least 49. She may be older. When she walks she looks like a funny little old man, for her legs curve outward and her heels cross. She wobbles along looking as if she is going to topple over any moment —but she never does. She is as tough as an Eskimo, and she has one adoring and devoted fribnd. Prince, a bay cob, is her constant companion. Hb refuses to share a paddock with any one but Dot. When they want to bring him in they have to bring Dot hi and he follows.
