SYDNEY * DAILY TELEGRAPH * Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, December 3. The annual meeting of shareholders of Associated Newspapers Limited, today unanimously approved the directors’ recommendation for the sale and transfer of the ‘ Daily Telegraph ’ newspaper to Sydney Newspapers Limited, proprietors and publishers of ‘ Women’s Weekly.’ The original ‘ Evening News ’ building and plant will also be taken over.

Sir Hugh Denison, chairman of Associated Newspapers, said that the new company would have £750,000 capital, of which Associated Newspapers would receive £160,000 in paid-up shares—£l2s,ooo for the ‘ Telegraph ’ and £35,000 for the plant—and would also receive in cash £95,000 for the ‘ Evening News ’ building, , in _ which the ‘ Telegraph ’ in future will be published.
