GOOD TEMPLARY

The Star of Freedom Lodge, No. 5, met on Monday evening in the Presbyterian Church Hall, Kaikorai, when , Chief Templar Sister Mrs M'Kenzia presided. There, was a good attendance, visitors being present from All Nations Lodge, No. 13, Port Chalmers, Rescue Lodge, Ng» 105, Hope of Caversham Lodge, No. 128., Hope of Dunedin Lodge, No. 166. Sister Giles, D.C.T., was present; also Bro. Campbell, D. deputy of Port ChalmersWaitati district. Both members made reference to the recent licensing poll, as also did Bro, W. Ues, C.T. of Rescue Lodge. Harmony was provided by Sister E. Facer and Sister Mrs Irishman (solos), while the Sisters Duff rendered a duet. Dunedin District Lodge, No. 1, held its quarterly meeting in Wesley Hall, Cargill road, Sister Mrs Giles, D.C.T., presiding. Representatives were pre- 1 sent from all lodges in tha|' district and reports were subJ mitted by the Distri V Chief Tem J plar, superintendent of juvenile work, and superintendent of legislative work. The reports were the subject of considerable discussion as was also the result of the recent licensing poll. The question of educational work among .the young received special attention.
