THE GOVERNMENT REQUIRED.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Mr George Bennett refers to the paper ‘ Labour’s Call to Victory ’ as a paper of a lot of faces and nothing besides, and says lie would like the brains’ of true New Zealand workers to represent Labour in our country, and not imports. As far as I can see the five Labour candidates whose photographs appear in this paper are all New Zealand born, so where do the imports come in as far as Dunedin is concerned, and I dare say a good many mOre of the Labour candidates are New Zealand born. He also refers to “ God help our country if the Labour Party gets into power.” Well, it will be God help us if the present party gets back, and there will be a good many more dark days for us if it does. —I am, etc., W. Mum,ay. November 23.
