WOMEN AT TENNIS
AUSTRALIA'S HIGH STANDARD
[Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, November 25. Four members of the New Zealand Ladies’ Tennis team—Misses E. Rudkin, T. A. and I Poole, and D. Miller—returned from Australia by the Makura, which arrived this morning. Miss Rudkin is of the opinion that the standard of women’s tennis in Australia is higher than in New Zealand. One of the most marvellous pf Australia’s women is Thelma Coyne, aged 17, who has a style like Jack Crawford’s.
