THE AUSTRALIAN TOUR MATCH AGAINST HEW SOUTH WALES Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright . SYDNEY, November 22. The match between Marylebone and New South Wales was commenced in very sultry weather before a very small crowd. Marylebone, in tbo first innings, scored 260, but had the fieldsmen given more assistance to the New South Wales bowlers Marylobonc’s score would have been even smaller. Parks, who made a number of fine cover shots, was dropped when ho had scored 35, and Powell had two chances before he reached 20, while Sims and Baxter were both missed before they scored. The ground fielding was very ragged, a lot of runs being given away. White was tho outstanding bowler, and had all the Marylebone batsmen subdued. Cooper, who is a promising fast bowler, heat the opening batsmen with sheer pace. Hardstaif alone of the batsmen impressed. He used bis feet well, and was not afraid to lift tbo ball into tbo outfield. The Marylebone innings last four hours five minutes.
The New South Welshmen _ opened slowly and unimpressively against the last bowlers Road ’ and Baxter, but Eallowfield and Alndge kept their wickets intact for a fresh start tomorrow.
