DEEP CREEK SCHEME PM6OESS OF THE WORK The Water Committee of the City Council reports that the city engineer’s report on the progress of works in connection with the Deep Creek water supply scheme during the past fortnightly period shows that the pipe laying contractors laid a total length of ,5,243 ft of pipe. The total length of pipe now laid from the intake is 27.45 miles, of which 23.94 miles has been passed as satisfactory. The trenching contractor completed a further length of 1,400 ft during the two weeks, making a total length completed to November 14 of 8,700 ft. The length of the contract is 13,571 ft.
