NEW BILL FOR MAYFAIR ‘ The White Cockatoo,’ the murder mystery, drama, opens at the Mayfair to-morrow, with ‘ George White’s Scandals.’ There are three murders, the kidnapping of an American heiress, and sevex-al other attempted crimes, all committed in a spooky hotel on the windswept coast of France. There is an all-star cast, with Jean' Muir and Ricardo Cortez in the romantic roles, and around whom the plot centres. Bigger, better, and more magnificent than any of the productions that have annually amazed Broadway’s musical playgoers for the past 15 years, ‘George White’s_ Scandals ’ is the other feature. The beautiful girls dance and sing to melodic song hits, in sparkling and elaborate revues that are among the most spectacular ever produced on the talking screen. Throughout this array of comedy, beauty, dancing,_ and songs runs a romantic tale of interest and genuine suspense. Outstanding among the many prominent screen, radio, and sta<re stars that adorn the large cast are Rudy Valleo, Jimmy Durante, Alice Faye, Cliff Edwards. Adrienne Antes, Gregory Ratoff, Dixie Dunbar, and Gertrude Michael.
