SCOTCH CONCERT AT MOSGIEL
I * - i The party of Scottish entertainers I who staged a successful Hallowe’en ! concern in Dunedin journeyed to Mos- • giel last evening and repeated the con- ■ cert in the Coronation Hall in aid of the funds of the Taieri Pipe Band, which was supported by the Momona I Highland Pipe Band and their president (Mr John Campbell). Mr Walls (president of the Taieri Band) presided i and complimented the band on its success at the recent contest in Oamaru. He also thanked the Dunedin concert party and the Momona Band for their help. ' An excellent programme of songs, recitations, national dances, and humorous items was given by Misses Leonoro Mackenzie, Dorothy Mackay, Margaret' Murray, L. Budge, Macdonald, Olive and Maisie Scott, Jackson, and Slowoy, Messrs W. H. Mackenzie, A. Ijiinglcy, J. Patterson, and G-. Currie. Mr Ted Heaney played selections on the piano-accordion, and Mr A. Pcttitt was the accompanist. Both the visiting and local bands gave selections. As a finale to the concert the bands and the Dunedin artists all assembled on the stage, and a reel party danced a national dance, concluding with ‘ Auld Dang Syne.’
