PETITIONS TO JUDGE A number of divorce applications came before His Honour Mr Justice Kennedy in the Supreme Court this morning. RILLSTONE v. RILLSTONE. May Rillstone (petitioner) v.' Charles Eric 'Rillstone (respondent), petition for divorce on the ground of mutual separation for three years. Mr J. S. Sinclair, who appeared for the petitioner, -said this case had been partly heard and adjourned to allow counsel to obtain an affidavit from Gisborne, where the petitioner had gone to reside, in order to establish that the parties had not been together during the period of the separation. That affidavit had been filed. His Honour granted a decree nisi, to be made absolute after the expiration of three months. DECREES MADE ABSOLUTE. Decrees were made absolute in the following cases Ethel A. Hunt (petitioner) v. Charles S. Hunt (respondent).—Mr C. J. L. White appeared for the petitioner. —His Honour made a decree absolute, and granted petitioner the custody of the child of the marriage, respondent to have access at all reasonable times. By consent an order was made for the payment by respondent of £1 7s 6d for the maintenance of petitioner and 17s Cd a week for the maintenance of the child till 16 years of age. Florence Jeauetta Fibbes (petitioner) , v. Andrew Fibbes (respondent). —Mr P. Lemon appeared in sup-port-of the petition.—A decree absolute was granted, petitioner to have the custody of the child of the marriage. ■ Joseph E. A. Thompson (petitioner) v, Clara N. Thompson (respondent) . Mr P. S. Anderson appeared in support of the petition.—Mr J. G. Warrington appeared for the respondent, but offered no opposition.—Decree absolute granted. Rose Karen Mead (petitioner) v Stanley- Henry Mead (respondent).— Mr F. C. Dawson appeared in support of the petition.—A decree absolute was granted, and petitioner was given cus tody of the child of the marriage. George Lindsay M’Gavin (petitioner) v. Freda Olive M'Gavin (respondent) —Mr B. S. Irwin appeared in support of the petition.—A decree absolute wa? granted, and custody of the two children was given to respondent. Charles Walter Harper (petitioner) y. Marjorie Clare Harper (respondent). —Mr N. Joel appeared in support of the petition.—On behalf of the respondent Mr E. A. Duncan asked for an adjournment. —Mr Joel said an application for maintenance could have been lodged previously, and in any case could be done subsequently. Ho asked for the decree. —A decree absolute was granted.
