EGYPTIAN DISTURBANCES
FURTHER OUTBREAKS FEARED GENERAL STRIKE GALLED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright CAIRO, November 20. (Received November 21, at 2.30 p.m.) Serious disturbances are feared in consequence of the calling of a general strike on November 21. Lawyers will participate, and are refraining from appearing in any but criminal cases. Students declare that they will march through the bazaars and close all shops. The ‘ Arabic Press ’ will cease publication as a protest-against the restrictions. Extreme nationalists urge the boycotting of the naval manoeuvres, which Sir Miles Lampson and Cabinet members will attend aboard the Queen Elizabeth.
