(Received November 21, at 11.45 a.m.) The new Companies Bill, providing for a complete code for the formation, management, control, and winding up of companies and protecting the public against fraud, was brought down in the Legislative Assembly by the Minister of Justice (Mr Martin). The Bill iriiposes strict limitations on the hawking of shares and bonds. Two official liquidators will be appointed, and their services may be engaged _ hi winding up companies. One provision is that all money received before allotment of shares must be placed in trust, and its misuse is prohibited.
