(Received 1 November 20, at 1.5 p.m.) Thirty thousand people, including the Wafd leader, Nahas Pasha, university professors, schoolgirls, nurses, and 10,000 students, attended the funeral of the student shot in self-defence by Major Lees oh November 14. The procession was most impressive. There was no disorder following’ the Government’s announcement that a public funeral would bo permitted provided no sticks were carried.
