UNEMPLOYED MUSICIANS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—l was indeed pleased to see in a late issue of your paper that the Government has at long last taken a step forward in the matter of providing work for unemployed musicians. As I pointed out in these columns some time ago, a musician cannot, from the nature of his calling, accept the ordinary relief work on account of injury to his hands, and I am sure that all sections of the community will patronise which ever theatre the unemployed orchestra is playing at, and thus show their approval of this long overdue measure.— I am, etc., Trombone. November 19.
