WINDJAMMER ROMANCE

A northern paper states that a windjammer romance lias resulted in the marriage of Pamela Bourne, Bachelor of Arts of Oxford, and daughter .of Sir Roland Bourne, to Sven Erikson, skipper of the Herzogin Cecile, in which she sailed to England last year from South Australia. . . . Before leaving for England Airs Erikson and her mother, Lady Bourne, spent about six weeks in blew Zealand touring the South Island. The distinguished visitors passed through Invercargill cn route to Te Anau and the Eglintou Valley. Miss Bourne stated her intention to write a book on her travels. Her book was recently published, and received favourable comment. This much-travelled lady is a South African by birth, and was formerly on the staff of a South African newspaper. She gave up her position and signed on as an ordinary seaman on the Finnish barque—the voyage ending in romance.
