Kadi letter or report forwarded to “ Diana ” for publication must bear the writer’s name and address as a guarantee of genuineness, and questions that do not permit of a public reply cannot be answered. Questions should be concisely put and the writer s norn de plume clearly written.
Tasso.—lt would be quite appropriate for one of tlie elder brothers to propose the principal toast of the evening, but if tin old friend of the family is present ho might be asked to do so. As the party is informal, no other toast is necessary, but in his reply the son, in whose honour the party is given, might call on those present to drink to the health, etc., of his mother.
