BARNSLEY COAL MINERS DEMAND FOR HIGHER WAGES. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDONj November 19. (Received November 20, at 1.10 p.m.) The ‘ Chronicle ’ says the Barnsley miners overwhelmingly voted in favour of a strike throughout the coalfields. It is expected that when their leaders go'to London they will urge the Minister of Mines to compel the owners to agree to a 2s daily increase in wages on a national basis. The owners are adamant, and the situation is becoming more dangerous daily.
