DUNEDIN GARDENING CLUB

SOCIAL EVENING The Dunedin Gardening Club "held a sueial evening yesterday. There was a good attendance of members. The president (Mr, 6. Passmore) occupied the chair. In spite of the lateness of the season the hall was attractively decorated with flowers, and a pleasant evening was spent. A brief programme was presented, items being given by the following:—Mr J. A. Wallace (violin), Mr H. Bussell (recitation), Miss M‘Kay, Mr 13. Bolwell, Mr W. H. M'Kenzie, and Mr R. Bryant (songs). The accompanist was Miss F. Pickard. A feature of the supper was a large birthday cake presented by Miss M'Tntyre. This was decorated in a novel manner to represent a garden. The cake was formally cut by the secretary (Mr P. Nelson).
