HITLER’S DOUBLE
DEPUTISES AT FUNCTIONS HIGHEST PAID GERMAN OFFICIAL PreH Association —By Telegraph—Copyright BERLIN, July 1. (Received July 2, at 12.5 p.m.),' When Nazis shout “ Heil, Hitler,” in future they will not know whether they are saluting Hitler or his double, whose likeness enables him convincingly to deputise at official functions. Thousands of Germans lustily .cheered his double at fhe opening of the new Reich motor road at Munich in the belief that they were acclaiming the Fuhrer. The double is said to resemble Herr Hitler in almost every detail. He is reputed to be the highest salaried German official.
Tho precaution suggests that Herr Hitler’s supporters are apprehensive of attempts at assassination.
