STEEL CLOTH
, NEW FABRIC NOVELTY LONDON, June 21. _ ■ A silky grey tweed woven from, delicate fibres of stainless steel was one of the novelties of the British Industries Fair at Birmingham. By a secret process bar steel has been reduced to strands as fine as merino ■ wool. These are carded ' spun, and woven into material, which, except for the fact that it is noticeably Heavier, is- ' identical with other products of the weaving mill. For the present, steel cloth is no more than a curiosity.
