GRAND THEATRE'S NEXT PROGRAMME The_ film adaptation of Zane Grey’s thrilling novel, ‘ West of the Pecos, ’• heads tire programme to be shown for the first time at the Grand Theatre on Wednesday. Appearing in the principal role is Richard Dix. Other promtuent parts are taken by Fred Kohler and Martha Bleeper. The story has to, do with the perils of attacks by Indians and cattle thieves, and the agonies of hunger and thirst are dramatised effectively. A fine combination of light-hearted humour and tuneful - song numbers, ‘ Lottery Lover,’ will be the supporting film. Relating the adventures of a party of sailors, who are stranded in Paris and become involved with a revue company, the story moves at a fast pace and is full of amusing incidents. Lew Ayres, who will be remembered for his performance with Janet Gaynor in 1 Stato Fair,’ and ‘ Servants’ Entrance,’ appears in the leading role. He receives sound support from a large cast of notable players, including Pat Patterson and Reginald Denny. «
