ZONE SYSTEM OF DISTRIBUTION EFFORT TO CHEAPEN PRICE. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright MELBOURNE, July 1. (Received July 1, at 9.20 a.m.) A step toward introducing the zonal system in the distribution of milk in order'to cheapen the price to consumers was taken on Saturday, when licenses were cancelled of 31 metropolitan milk vendors, to whom approximately £12,000 in compensation is being paid, while every effort will be made to eliminate unnecessary competition.
