POLICE SEARCH COMMERCED [Fu United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, July 1. Considerable anxiety is being felt at the failure to return of a party of five young men and women who left yesterday morning to walk from Island Bay to Red Rocks. They should ha-ve been back by 6 p.m., but up to midday to-day had iwt shown up. The party consisted of Roy Woodcock, Ken M'Gill, Misses Goldsmith (two), and a brother, the children of Mr J. I. Goldsmith. The party’s ages range from 18 to 25. They were seen at 3.30 yesterday by another party near Red Rocks, walking away from Wellington. A search by the parents has been unavailing, and the police are arranging for a search this afternoon. All homesteads have been communicated with fruitlessly. The night was very cold and wet, and the party are scantily clad.
