WRESTLING
GLENN WADE V. AL PEREIRA A contest which should prove_ to he one of the best wrestling attractions of the present season will take place in the Town Hall next Monday evening, when Glenn Wade will meet the popular A 1 Pereira. This will be the. second occasion upon which this pair will have met, their former meeting having occurred in Wellington some three weeks ago, when Wade was successful in defeating Pereira by one fall. It must be remembered, however, that on the occasion when they met in the capital city Pereira was a long way from being at his best, as he had scarcely recovered from a sickness which had kept him from training for two weeks, a considerable portion of which time he was confined to his room. He is now fully recovered, and according to northern sporting writers jvho saw him wrestle with M'Cready in Wellington at the beginning of ibis present week, he is exhibiting much better form than has previously been shown by him this season. As he is taller and heavier than the clever and redoubtable Wade, it is quite possible that on Monday he may succeed in turning the tables upon the previous victor. Glenn Wade made a very favourable impression when he met Williams here some four weeks ago, and it will be a moot question as to which man will be the favourite.^ The usual four amateur preliminaries will precede the professional bout, which is timed to start at 9. The box plan is now open at the D.1.C., where reservations may be made.
