AIRCRAFT STRIKES SEA
THE PILOT KILLED (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, June 27. (Received June 28, at 1.30 p.m.) Hundreds of holiday makers on the Sussex coast saw an Air Force machine strike the sea and sink off Selsey Bill. A lifeboat was launched and recovered the body of Pilot-officer N. D. Ashton, tho only occupant of the machine.
