UNDISCHARGED BANKRUPTS
OVER THREE THOUSAND [From Our Correspondent.] WELLINGTON, June 27. New Zealand’s Bankruptcy Act was considerably' improved by the legislation. of 1927, which imposed many safeguards for the trading community, one of which —probably not generally known—is that every year a special gazette is issued containing the names, occupations, and addresses of all persons who on March 31 had been aidjudged bankrupt since March .31, 1927, and had not obtained an order of discharge. The current year’s list contains 46 pages of names in small type, averaging 70 per page, showing that the number of undischarged bankrupts in the dominion is approximately 3,200.
