MELBOURNE CRIMINAL SENTENCED TWO CONFEDERATES AT LARGE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright MELBOURNE, June 27. (Received, June 27, at 2.30 p.m.) David Brown (20), a butcher, was to-day sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment for robbery under arms of two bank officials in broad daylight in a busy Melbourne street on April 5, when £1,725 was stolen. Mr Justice Martin described the crime as “ particularly audacious and successful.” He said to Brown: “You cannot play a desperate game with impunity.” Brown’s two companions in the holdup are stjll at large.
