fPs* United Press Association.! AUCKLAND, June 4. The president of tlie New Zealand Rugby League (Air Cyril Snedden), referring to the report that Nepia had been offered money to play for New Zealand against Australia, said that no authority had been given to any affiliated league or official to approach any Rugby Union player. If Nepia had been approached it must have been hy some private enthusiast. The New Zealand selectors had not yet been appointed, so no guarantee of a place in tlie team could or would be given to any player.
