FIRE DESTROYS HALL
[Per Exited Pkess Association.] ' CHRISTCHURCH, May 19. The Public Hall at West Melton was destroyed by fire early this morning. The hall was owned by the \\ est Meiton Sale Yards Company. The West Melton Miniature Rifle Club used the hall on Saturday night, but the Cause of the fire is not known. The outbreak was discovered soon after midnight, but it was too late to save the hall. The total loss on the building and furnishings will be about £I.OOO. The Royal Office holds the insurance on the buildings.
