rBWDE 6«P ; v The amjual competition for the it‘Bride Hfemorial Cup • was held at the Dunedin Gun Club’s grounds at Green Island ou Saturday afternoon. A large number of members were present. The sky was overcast and the light was bad for shooting, but in spite of this very goad scores were registered by all and- it was the' keenest .competition for this .trophy seen' for ■ many' years. : Six competitors shot tha possible-n (21 : T. Callaghan^. .(all first barrel), X' Hutchison; J. Didde; iJ, Edmond, V, Walker, and W. Elliottl Thcsa were followed by several other good scores* In an interesting and prolonged shootoff, which was fired in failing light, J. T. Callaghan-won the cup, breaking 39 birds in succession (34- with the ‘first barrel). The runner-up was J. Hutchison, 58 birds (30 with the first barrel). He was followed by J. Dickie 37 birds (35 first barrel). At the conclusion of the match the president (Mr G. E. Turner) presented tbs winner with the cup and a miniature, and congratulated him on his outstanding per- ■ He also commented .upon tha high standard •of shooting maintained throughout the match, Scores:— .
