PLANS FOR REGULAR SERVICE TO BE GONE OH WITH Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, May 17. The Director of Postal Services (Mr Brown) announced that the mishap to the Southern Gross would not interfere with the plans for a regular transtasman air mail service. Sir Charles Kingsford Smith has recovered from the severe ordeal of Wednesday. He expressed the hope that. Captain Taylor’s bravery would he officially recognised, and he added that there was not the slightest doubt that the Southern Cross crew owed their lives to him.
