RESULT OF TAXI ACCIDENT ONCE CELEBRATED PAINTER Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, May 17. The ‘ News-Chronicle’s ’ Paris correspondent says: “ Julien Lemordant, once a celebrated painter, who was blinded by a German bullet during a charge in 1915, had his sight restored by a taxi accident after the failure of 35 operations. Glass splinters protruded from his head when he was picked up after a street collision. He was unconscious for several days, after which the,bandages were raised. “I can see,” he shouted. His sight is dim,-but he hopes to paint again.
