DISTRIBUTING THE MAUNDY MONEY.—The ancient ceremony of distributing the Maundy Pence was attended at Westminster Abbey ths year by the Duchess of York and Princess Elizabeth. The money is specially minted in coins of small denominations, and given to elderly people. The number of recipients and the number of coins each receives are the same as the years of the King s age at the time.
